黃修志花十年收集古宅,精心修繕,重建於蘇州古鎮同里,名為醉楓園。醉楓園佔地三十八畝,共四個合院,建築面積為三千三百平方公米。其建築為江南風格,木構青磚,粉牆黛瓦。
這園林不對外開放。看此視頻,能夠觀賞園主多年的心血。
黃修志對文物保護的貢獻,因而榮獲2011年泊客中國獎。在其獲獎的感言中,他說:「我對中國古建築,有百份之喜愛,千份之執著,還有萬份之痴迷。」
Jeffrey Wong spent 10 years in collecting historical buildings. He carefully disassembled and meticulously reconstructed these buildings in his garden compound located in Tongli. Jeffrey’s garden compound of 25,000 square meters (6 acres) consists of 4 groups of buildings with 3,300 square meters (35,000 square feet) of floor area. All buildings are in Jiangnan style with black tile roofs, white plaster walls, and central patios.

Jeffrey Wong was an award recipient in the 2011 “China Right Here” Award for his contribution to the preservation of Chinese cultural heritage. In his acceptance speech, he said “I am in love with, committed to, and crazy about Chinese architecture.”
